Delta Doin's

September 26
Delta Waterway Cleanup, part of California Coastal Cleanup. For safety reasons, there are no large, centrally organized cleanup sites this year. Instead, cleanups will be self-guided and close to home. Cleaning neighborhoods, local parks, and street gutters helps to protect our Delta waterways and our oceans as trash travels through storm drains, creeks, and rivers both locally and out to the coastline and beyond.

October 11
Sunday Harvest Market, Delta Bay, Isleton, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Farmers market, arts & crafts, baked goods.

November 6
Delta Heritage Forum, online. A full-day virtual event focused on efforts to preserve and tell Delta stories, opportunities for partnerships and collaboration, and networking. Invitees will include cultural organizations, federal, state and local officials, business and civic organizations, and those interested in Delta heritage.

November 7
Turkey Shoot Regatta, Lake Washington Sailing Club, West Sacramento.

November 26
Turkey Trot, Rio Vista, 8 a.m. $25 before 11/1; $30 after; $15 for youth 13 and under. $50 award to overall first-place female and male runners; awards to top three in each age/gender category. Benefits the Rio Vista High School Cross-Country Team. Registration link to come soon.
